1.൦)
1) Three bus lines are required; a data input | 1) Two bus lines are required; a serial data
line (511), a data output line (5೦1) and a line (SDA) and a serial clock line (SCL)
serial clock line (SCK1) [plus 1 Chip Select
(CS)]
2) Higher data rates (up to 10 MHz or 2) Support transfer speeds of around
more)
1001117 (original standard, or 4001117 using
the most recent standard)
3) More efficient in multi-master, multi- slave applications
3) More efficient in point-to-point (single
master, single slave) applications
4) Less Hardware complexity
5) It is a half duplex protocol 5) It is a full duplex protocol
2.a) UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB)
Universal Serial Bus is wired high speed serial bus for data communication. The USB
communication system follows star topology with a USB host at the centre and one or more
USB peripheral devices. A USB 2.0 host can support connections up to 127; including slave
peripheral devices and other USB hosts.USB transmit data in packet format. Each data
packets have a standard format. The USB communication is a host initiated one. The USB
host contains a host controller which is responsible for controlling the data communication,
