1) Explain the condition of static equilibrium of a member with (i) two forces

2) For the linkage shown in figure, find all constraint forces and torque T required if
F= 120 Nin the direction shown. The dimensions of linkages are as follows.

2) In a four bar mechanism shown in figure torque T3 and T4 have magnitude of 40
Nm and 30 Nm respectively. The link lengths are AB = 250 mm, BC = 600 mm, CD =
350 mm, AD = 700 mm. For the static equilibrium of the mechanism, determine the
required input torque T2.
